The  rarely cover rules have made it difficult for schools to release staff to go offsite for inset; it's much more convenient to bring the trainer to your school. I will deliver inset sessions for either the whole staff or smaller groups on the use of new technologies/social networking in education. These new and exciting applications can be used in any subject, making technology a useful learning and teaching aid instead of being used just for its own sake. I will also run smaller workshop sessions where staff can have a hands on session using applications such as Voicethread. These are very popular and useful, either as part of an inset day or as a twilight session. Subject specific follow up links and resources provided as part of the inset session.  
All staff can benefit from training on new technologies - senior leadership teams, middle leaders,teachers and associate staff. The use of technology is interesting, engaging and exciting for both staff and pupils.


Social networking brings the chance for educators to collaborate and communicate with their peers all over the world and I can help your staff to do this. I can advise on building a personal learning network using freely available tools, this can be so valuable and is a source of new ideas for learning and teaching.
 Technology has made the world seem much smaller and offers so many opportunities to broaden our horizons and it would be a great shame if we did not grasp the chances it provides to contact like minded professionals or to allow our students the chance to work with others all over the world . I will help your staff to navigate the worlds of social networking and build up their global contacts.This will allow you to broaden the horizons of your pupils, allowing them to interact with pupils from other cultures and ethnic backgrounds.
