How can I help you use iPads as a valuable aid to teaching and learning?

Picture
Pads are increasingly being used for education in the UK and all over the world. They can provide an incredibly rich learning experience for students, are easy to use and of course are great fun. Schools are using this engaging technology in many different ways and the limits seem to be only in the teacher/librarian's imagination. However the app store is teeming with apps, how can you find the ones that deliver the wow  factor for your pupils? This day training course will cover that and give you a toolkit of amazing apps that you can use to to enhance the teaching and learning in your school as well as giving examples of iPad use around the country. The day can have a special emphasis on apps you can use for literacy, for reading promotion and encouraging creative writing. You can learn how to use the iPad to engage reluctant readers as well as giving students that struggle with writing tools that help them across all keystages, phonics apps can also be showcased. Alternatively a wider spectrum of subject specific and cross curricular apps can be focussed on , to suit iPad use in your school, for example Mathematics, MFL. Science. The course is suited to be run as separate sessions for different departments/groups of people or a whole day for the same group. There is no limit on delegate number so this course could be opened up to local schools that would like to explore iPad use in education.
